Shey Darcy, once the New York it girl, has to give up her life as a model when her
husband,John wants out of thier marriage. A family tragedy forces her to come back home to
Parkfield,Texas bring her 3 boys with her. Overwhelmed with grief she decides to stay and rebuild her life.
Will she survive her overbearing mother? Will she reunite with her first love Dane Kelly? Will her
brother,Blue Callen stay married to his spoiled rich wife who thinks he's not doing enought? Jane Porter
has a gift when it comes to narration. She knows just when to reveal certain details at the right time.
the characters where likeable and relatable.(I am from Texas so this may be a biased opinon) The plot was
a little predictable but I still enjoyed alot. Her writing style overall is a simple ,no frills approach and I will definitely have to check out her previous work.
Our 3 winners from the contest are:
1. Amy Lyn
2.Shan
3.pink flip flops

Crazy-for-books the blogs I follow
It's that time of the week again dont forget to check out my giveaway(She's gone country by Jane Porter)
I have 3 copies to giveaway and deadline is this Sunday
also you can post links to your giveaways in the post below this one
Now back to the question at hand
blogs I follow well in all it's over 30 if you look at my dashboard. but being a parent of 3 kids (2 of which has special needs ) doesn't leave me with alot of time to visit each and everyone
I try to visit the ones in my sidebar because I can get a quick glance as to what's going on with everyone else
It depends since school starts for us Monday It will give me some time to visit more but I prefer to leave a good quality comment on a few blogs then a whole bunch of so-so comments on a lot of blogs.
So which do you prefer ? Quality or quantity? Do you make time to visit every blog you follow?
I would love to get your feed back on this
and stay tuned for the winners of the giveaway Monday

How many books on my tbr list and orbus terrarum challenge
Thanks for stopping by on this busy Friday . I love comments I think it's one of the best things
about blogging interacting with other bloggers
Dont forget to scroll down to the next post if you would like to post links to your giveaways, book reviews, memes, etc.
It's that time of the week again. The question for this week is HOw many books are on your To be read list?
Got to say on my own personal tbr list is atleast 10(not counting books sent to me by publishers)and speaking of books on my TBR List
For my orbus terrarum challenge I selected "Night"by Elie Wiesel, who was born in Sighet,Transylvania after the war
He was persuaded by the French Writer Francois Muriac to write this memoir that documented his life
when his family was forced to go to Auschwitz in 1944. Mr. Wiesel along with his wife Marion would go on to establish the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanities shortly after he recieved The Nobel Peace Prize in 1986 you can go to http://www.eliewieselfoundation.org/ for more information. I m sure that of the 40 books he has written(fiction and nonfiction) this is the one that is the most thought provoking It's one of those books
that will leave an indelible mark in your mind. You definitely come away feeling saddened by the horrendous
reality that they were subjected to in the concentration camps and yet I was caught off gaurd by the acts of compassion by the victims themselves. I am pleased that my daughter's English teacher assigned this book to them because ,to me the only thing that would be a greater tradegdy is if we allow ourselves to forget what happened. On that note I leave you with a quote
"Sometimes we must interfere when Human lives are endangered when Human Dignity is in jeapordy
National Borders and Sensitivites become irrelevant when men or women are persecuted because of their race, religon,or political views that place must at that moment become the center of the universe"
Elie Wiesel

Versatile Blogger Award part 2
I wanted to include links to these blogs that I thought were cool
(Check out the June 26 for the part one)gallorganico.blogspot.com
As you can see by this side of the list I love scrapbooking and art journaling as much as I do reading(hence the other blog) I apologize for the big gap in between my computer crashed in June for 3 weeks and the kids
spilled something on the hard drive in July so I was out of commission 2 more weeks. So if you don't see your blog in this post Part I is in the June 26th entry that I had to do at the library.
